VISALIA – The Stockton Ports have been pushed to the edge of playoff elimination.

Camden Duzenack had three hits and two RBI as the Visalia Rawhide beat the Ports 9-4 on Friday to take a 2-1 lead in the best-of-5 California League North Division playoffs. The Ports must win today and on Sunday at Stockton Ballpark to advance.

Visalia started the scoring in the first inning when Jazz Chisholm hit a two-run home run.

After Visalia added two runs in the second, the Ports cut into the deficit in the fifth inning when Sandber Pimentel hit a two-run home run and Kevin Merrell hit a sacrifice fly.

With the score tied 4-4 in the sixth, the Rawhide took the lead for good when Anfernee Grier hit an RBI single, driving in Pavin Smith.

Visalia starter Connor Grey (11-9) picked up the win despite allowing four runs and six hits over six innings. Opposing starter Kyle Friedrichs (2-3) took the loss in the California League game after a rough outing in which he allowed eight runs and nine hits over 5 1/3 innings.

For the Ports, Pimentel homered and singled, driving in two runs.


CS Northridge 1, Pacific 0 (2-OT)

At Stockton, Melissa Favela scored the only goal of the game in the 104th minute for Matadors (2-2-1). Goalkeeper Regan Heslop had 10 saves for the Tigers (2-5-0), who had nine shots on goal.


Pacific at UNC Classic

At Greeley, Colorado, the Tigers (4-4) went 1-1 on the first day of the Northern Colorado Classic, beating Alabama State 25-19, 25-8, 21-25, 25-14, and losing to the host Bears 19-25, 25-21, 25-11, 25-22.

Kaitlyn Lines had 18 kills to lead the Tigers against the Hornets, and Riley Patterson had 10 digs. Against Northern Colorado, Riley Ramsey had 14 kills, Alex Holt had four blocks and Patterson had 17 digs.


Michigan 2, Pacific 1 (OT)

At Ann Arbor, Michigan, the No. 7 Wolverines scored early in overtime to claim the victory. Emma Way scored both goals for Michigan. Rylee Comeau scored on an assist from Hayley Kilfoil at the 59:31 mark to send the match to OT.


Bear Creek at Sierra Shootout

At Rocklin, the Bruins (3-2) had a good day, winning twice. They defeated Oakdale 16-13 and Ripon 8-7.

Cade Campigli had eight goals for Bear Creek against Oakdale, Blake Supinger had five and Adan Banks had three. Banks scored five times against Ripon, and Supinger had three goals. Bruins goalkeeper Ethan McLaughlin had 19 saves combined.

Lincoln at Sierra Shootout

At Rocklin, the Trojans split their matches, beating River City 14-3 and losing to College Park 19-9.

Owen Sherman had four goals and Jacob Van Grouw, Joshua Cavero and Jacob Thomas had two each against River City. Sherman, Cavero and Jacob Thomas each had two goals against College Park.
