Victor Mendoza passed away peacefully at his residence
Tuesday morning, September 13, 2016 in Stockton, CA at the age of 64.
Victor is survived by his wife, Rosalina "Linda" Mendoza;
children Victor Jr., Marco, Juan
Carlos, and Analisa Mendoza. He is preceded in death by his mother and father, Guadalupe and Raymond Mendoza.
Victor was born in Calexico, CA on January 17, 1952. He was
a high school graduate of
Thomas Edison High school in the year of 1970. He served in the US Army from 1970-1974. Shortly after his return from
Germany he married the love of his life, "Linda", they celebrated 41 years of marriage. Victor worked at the Tracy Defense
depot for 14 years, he later worked for the Newark Sierra Paper Board Cooperation Mill for 17 years. Victor retired from Stockton Unified after 11 years of employment. Over 41 years of marriage, the couple raised 4 children in their Stockton home, Victor encouraged his children to be loving, kind and respectful of other. Victor instilled in his children to have great pride in whatever they set out to do, he would later encourage all four of his children to apply their skills in public service.
Victor was a talented carpenter and a man of many traits. Willing to lend his skills to all who needed help, he used the majority of his skills to build his wife the house of her dreams. In his younger years, Victor enjoyed coaching his boys in baseball and walking his little girl to school. As his children grew, he spent his time watching football and BBQ-ing with them. His grandkids kept his remaining years full of joyus activities.
His daughters-in law, Danielle, Jennifer, and Norma remember him as a man of strength and courage. His son-in-law Mark
always enjoyed having breakfast with him and recalls him as a father figure. He will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, and brother.
Visitation will be held at DeYoung Memorial Chapel on Wednesday, September 21st from 2 pm-6 pm and Rosary
beginning at 6 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at The Cathedral of the Annunciation on Thursday, September 22nd at 10 am. A Committal Service will follow at the San Joaquin Catholic Cemetery.
