LODI — A bicyclist who was injured in a collision with a vehicle in south Lodi on Sunday afternoon remained in critical condition in an area hospital Tuesday, Lodi police reported.

The bicyclist, who was not identified, was riding eastbound on Century Boulevard when he entered the controlled intersection with South Hutchins Street shortly after 1 p.m. and was struck by a van traveling northbound. The driver stopped and remained at the scene, according to police.

The bicyclist was transported to an area hospital with unspecified injuries and has been listed as critical since he was admitted.

The Police Department’s Major Accident Investigation Team had not determined if either party went through a red light, so no charges had been filed as of midday Tuesday.
