dangerous after all

STOCKTON — A suspicious device initially thought to be explosive was discovered Saturday evening on the floor of a restroom in a commercial area of north Stockton, resulting in the deployment of the bomb squad to render the device safe, police reported.

Upon arrival after 6 p.m. in the 6000 block of Pacific Avenue, just north of West Swain Road, the Explosive Ordnance Disposal team assessed the device and determined that it was not dangerous, according to police.
