There were 66 bookings at the San Joaquin County Jail in the 24 hours ending at 8 a.m. Saturday. At that time, there were 1,277 people held at the jail, which has an official capacity of 1,550. When the jail is full, some inmates may be released early.

Robbery: A man tried to steal the cash register tray from a business about 7:26 p.m. Friday in the 1000 block of Trinity Parkway. An employee was giving a customer change when the man tried to steal the tray. The woman was able to grab the man, causing him to drop the tray. The robber was able to take money from the tray and run to a waiting dark-colored sedan.

Robbery: Three people robbed a man about 3:15 a.m. Saturday in the area of Airport Way and Channel Street. The victim was driving north on Airport Way when the robbers, who were standing in the middle of the street, stopped the victim’s truck. One of the robbers stood in front of the truck while another one got into the passenger seat and poked the victim with a knife. The robber then took the car keys, two wallets and sunglasses. The robbers ran into a home, but one of the assailants came back and gave the victim his keys and one of the wallets. One of the robbers was a 30-year-old black woman about 5 feet 7, 200 pounds and had long, red hair. The other robbers were a man and a woman.

Robbery: A man sitting in his car was robbed about 6:30 a.m. Saturday in the 700 block of West Eighth Street. Three people came up to him and demanded the victim’s property. The robbers then tried to take his vehicle, but it would not start. The men then got out and left in a brown 2007 Toyota sedan. The robbers stole a wallet and cash. One of the robbers was a 35-year-old Latino man with black hair and brown eyes and was wearing black pants, a gray T-shirt and a green hat. The second person was a 30-year-old Latino man with black hair, brown eyes and was wearing a blue jacket. The third robber was described as a black man, 22, 5 feet 10, 170 pounds and had black hair and brown eyes. He was wearing a red hat and a black T-shirt.

The Stockton Fire Department responded to 144 calls for service in the 24 hours ending at 8 a.m. Saturday, including four vehicle accidents, 106 medical calls and two vehicle fires.
