STOCKTON — Stockton police announced on Friday night that a 22-year-old man has been arrested in connection with a fatal triple shooting in September.

Tyrise Johns was arrested in San Jose on suspicion of homicide for the death of Wilbert Malik-Ali Rigmaden-Jones. He was booked into the San Joaquin County Jail.

Rigmaden-Jones, 21, was one of three people shot about 10:10 p.m. Sept. 11 in the 300 block of East Oak Street.

He had been listed in critical condition but died from his injuries on Sept. 16.

Police said two other people were also shot during this incident, a 16-year-old male and a 42-year-old man. Both survived their injuries.

According to earlier reports, the victims were hanging out in the area when the suspect walked up and fired multiple rounds at the group.
