There were 70 bookings at the San Joaquin County Jail in the 24 hours ending at 8 a.m. Sunday. At that time, there were 1,334 people held at the jail, which has an official capacity of 1,550. When the jail is full, some inmates may be released early.
Gun arrest: Officers stopped a vehicle for a minor traffic violation at Bordeaux and Le Mans avenues about 8 p.m. Saturday. A vehicle search turned up a concealed, loaded .40-caliber handgun. Officers arrested the driver, Chris Xiong, 20, without incident on suspicion of weapon charges.
Gun arrest: Officers responded about 1:30 a.m. Sunday to the 4500 block of Pershing Avenue on the report of a suspicious person with a gun and found a man in possession of a loaded .45-caliber handgun. Officers arrested Trevlen Campbell, 27, without incident on suspicion of weapon charges.
Robbery: A man was in his driveway in the 1200 block of North San Joaquin Street about 4 a.m. Sunday when two robbers appeared. One struck the victim in the face, knocking him to the ground and taking items from the victim’s pockets while his accomplice removed items from the victim’s vehicle. The two robbers, both shirtless 6-foot-tall men weighing between 200 and 220 pounds, then fled the scene in a silver or gold four-door sedan driven by a woman in her 20s.
Pursuit, DUI arrest: Saturday night, officers observed a motorist allegedly driving on the wrong side of the road and striking a curb and attempted to make a traffic stop. Instead, the motorist fled, leading officers in a pursuit through Lodi that ended near South Fairmont and West Lodi avenues when the vehicle struck a traffic light. The driver was not reported injured. Officers arrested Chris Hodson on suspicion of multiple vehicle code violations, felony evading and driving under the influence.
The Stockton Fire Department responded to 141 calls for service in the 24 hours ending at 8 a.m. Sunday, including five vehicle accidents, 101 medical calls and one structure fire.
