Robbery: A man entered a store in the 10400 block of Trinity Parkway at 1:34 p.m. Wednesday and began concealing items in his clothes. He and a woman were confronted by loss prevention, but the thief punched the guard and fled in a grey 2009 Acura TSX. The loss was two pieces of candy and a CD case. The thief was described as a 21-year-old Middle Eastern man wearing a grey Pokemon shirt and black pants. The woman was described as Latina, standing 5 feet, 4 inches tall, weighing 160 pounds wearing a pink shirt and black pants.
Carjacking: A man was parked in the 400 block of West Worth Street at 11:50 p.m. Tuesday when he was confronted by another man who told him to get out of the vehicle. The victim complied, and the thief fled in the white 1999 GMC Yukon. The vehicle’s license plate is 4BNR643.
Armed robbery: A man was riding his bicycle in the area of East Fremont and North Union streets at 11:40 p.m. Tuesday when he was confronted by two men. One of the men pointed a handgun at the victim and demanded he turn over the bicycle. The victim complied and stepped away, then both men fired at him. The victim was able to escape without injury, and the robber fled southbound.
Pursuit: Officers observed a motorist driving recklessly and running several red lights in the area of North Center and West Fremont streets at 7:10 p.m. Tuesday. Officers attempted to pull the driver over, but he failed to yield. The driver then led officers on a one-minute, one-mile pursuit before he pulled over and surrendered. Robert Knight, 27, was arrested on suspicion of various traffic charges.
The Stockton Fire Department responded to 159 calls for service in the 24 hours ending at 8 a.m. Wednesday, including 96 medical calls, 16 grass fires, two structure fires, four vehicle fires and six vehicle accidents.
