There were 62 bookings at the San Joaquin County Jail in the 24 hours ending at 8 a.m. Thursday. At that time, there were 1,222 people held at the jail, which has a total capacity of 1,665. When the jail is full, some inmates may be released early.
Weapons: Deputies responded to the report of a brandished weapon in the 4000 block of East Fourth Street in Stockton on Tuesday afternoon. Occupants of a white Ford SUV with paper plates pointed a firearm at a man, reports state. Arriving deputies found the vehicle and contacted the occupants, finding an SKS between the driver’s seat and center console of the vehicle. Deputies arrested Jose Lalo Hernandez, 27 and Crystal Zarate, 29, on suspicion of several weapons charges.
Weapons: Community Response Team officers stopped a vehicle near Second and Aurora streets for a traffic violation at 4 p.m. Thursday. Officers contacted the driver and discovered he was in possession of a loaded and concealed handgun. Yuriel Martinez, 20, was arrested on suspicion of several gun charges.
Stolen auto: Officers conducted a traffic stop in the area of Center and Lafayette streets at 11:40 p.m. Wednesday. Upon contacting the driver, it was determined the vehicle had been stolen. Tamson Clemmon, 39, was arrested on suspicion of a stolen vehicle.
The Stockton Fire Department responded to 119 calls for service in the 24 hours ending at 8 a.m. Thursday, including 80 medical calls, five vehicle accidents and four vehicle fires.
