There were 49 bookings at the San Joaquin County Jail in the 24 hours ending at 8 a.m. Tuesday day. At that time, there were 1,247 people held at the jail, which has a total capacity of 1,665. When the jail is full, some inmates may be released early.

Dwelling shot: A woman heard several gunshots in the 800 block of Dupont Drive at about 10:47 p.m. Monday. When the woman left for work Tuesday morning, she saw that her house and vehicle had been struck by gunfire, police said. Officers found 12 shell casings in the street. 

Arson arrest: Officers responded to the report of a suspicious person in the 9000 block of Valleyoak Drive at 1:42 a.m. Tuesday. Upon arrival, officers found Stockton Fire Department on scene attending to a small Dumpster fire, police said. An investigation found that a man there unsuccessfully attempted to set fire to a vehicle, then set fire to a residence in the area before setting the Dumpster on fire, police said. Officers arrest Bradley Leibig, 48, on suspicion of arson.

Resisting arrest: Officers responded to a disturbance in the 4900 block of Kentfield Drive at 10:23 p.m. Monday. Upon arrival, officers were told that a man burglarized the location earlier in the day, police said. When officers attempted to detain the man, he refused and became combative, police said. Officers arrested Timothy Thornton, 35, on suspicion of trespassing and resisting arrest.

The Stockton Fire Department responded to 152 calls for service in the 24 hours ending at 8 a.m. Tuesday, including 107 medical calls, 13 vehicle accidents, one vehicle accident and one vehicle fire.
