There were 41 bookings at the San Joaquin County Jail in the 24 hours ending at 8 a.m. Monday. At that time, there were 1,227 people held at the jail, which has an official capacity of 1,665. When the jail is full, some inmates may be released early.

Assault with deadly weapon arrest: A woman was arrested after she allegedly struck a sleeping man on the side of his head with a large rock in the 300 block of South El Dorado Street just after 4 p.m. Sunday. The victim was transported to an area hospital for unspecified non-life-threatening injuries. Officers arrested Leann McCoy, 44, on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon.

Robbery: Following a vehicle accident in the 1000 block of North Wilson Way about 7:05 p.m. Sunday, the victim attempted to flee from the scene but the suspect brandished a handgun and demanded the victim’s property. The suspect then fled but was located by responding officers. Officers arrested Jalal Saleh, 22, on suspicion of robbery and weapon charges.
