There were 73 bookings at the San Joaquin County Jail in the 24 hours ending at 8 a.m. Wednesday. At that time, there were 1,252 people held at the jail, which has an official capacity of 1,665. When the jail is full, some inmates may be released early.
Stolen vehicle arrest: Deputies arrested Reya Jorgensen on suspicion of vehicle theft after she was reportedly seen driving a stolen Ford Mustang on Tuesday afternoon in the 13000 block of East Highway 26.
Robbery: A caller notified deputies that a man was taking tires and wheels off of a car about 3 a.m. Wednesday in the 700 block of Historic Avenue. Deputies arrived, but the man ran away and he was not found. The stolen property was recovered and returned to the owner.
Robbery: An employee stopped a man from stealing two bottles of alcohol about 3:45 p.m. Tuesday in the 4200 block of East Morada Lane. The suspect, 27-year-old Joshua Banks, entered the store, put the bottles in his bag and tried to leave. An employee confronted him, and after a struggle, took him to the ground and held him until police arrived. Banks was arrested on suspicion of robbery charges.
The Stockton Fire Department responded to 124 calls for service in the 24 hours ending at 8 a.m. Wednesday, including 12 vehicle accidents, 78 medical calls and three structure fires.
