STOCKTON — One year ago today, 51-year-old Jeffrey Verplank was found mortally wounded by gunfire in the 600 block of E. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd. He died a short time later at a local hospital. His killing remains unsolved.

The Stockton Police Department is encouraging citizens to call if they have information pertaining to this investigation.
