There were 50 bookings at the San Joaquin County Jail in the 24 hours ending at 8 a.m. Friday. At that time, there were 1,186 people held at the jail, which has an official capacity of 1,665. When the jail is full, some inmates may be released early.
Stolen vehicle arrest: Police arrested two people found driving in a stolen vehicle about 1:37 p.m. Thursday in the 6300 block of North El Dorado Street. Shakeyna Blue, 33, and Alair Woodcock, 28, were arrested on suspicion of auto theft and warrants.
Weapons arrest: Medics were responding to an overdose about 10:27 a.m. Friday in the 5700 block of Lorraine Avenue when they found ammunition and a firearm. Police arrived to help medics and arrested 26-year-old Joshua Rivera, a convicted felon, on suspicion of weapons charges.
Resisting arrest: A 29-year-old man was arrested for threatening to shoot officers in the head about 1:31 p.m. Friday in the area of Rosemarie Lane and Pershing Avenue. Police received calls about a man in the road. When they arrived, they found Richard Cook, who was yelling and screaming. Officers detained him, but he refused to get into the patrol vehicle. Cook had to be restrained and put in a spit net. He was arrested on suspicion of resisting arrest and threatening a peace officer.
The Stockton Fire Department responded to 108 calls for service in the 24 hours ending at 8 a.m. Friday, including five vehicle accidents, 78 medical calls and one structure fire.
