STOCKTON — Police traffic investigators are looking for the suspect vehicle from a fatal hit and run that occurred Saturday evening in the area of Main Street and Searchlight Avenue. The suspect vehicle is described as a white GM Trailblazer/S-10 Blazer or Oldsmobile Bravada.
A pedestrian died as the result of being struck by the vehicle Saturday evening in east Stockton, police reported.
The victim, identified only as a man in his 60s pending notification of next of kin, was crossing East Main Street near Searchlight Avenue when he was struck about 7:24 p.m. by a vehicle traveling westbound. The vehicle fled south on Searchlight without stopping at the scene. The victim was transported to an area hospital where he was pronounced dead from his injuries.
