There were 45 bookings at the San Joaquin County Jail in the 24 hours ending at 8 a.m. Monday. At that time, there were 1,272 people held at the jail, which has an official capacity of 1,665. When the jail is full, some inmates may be released early.

Robbery: A man was walking near East Washington and South Sierra Nevada streets about 11:25 p.m. Sunday when two robbers approached him and one hit the man in the face, knocking him to the ground. The second robber then took property from the victim’s pockets. The robbers were described as two men.

Gun arrests: Officers responding to a possible family fight stopped a vehicle that matched the description provided by the reporting party in the 200 block of East March Lane about 2:15 a.m. Monday. During the stop, officers saw a firearm inside the car and removed the occupants. One passenger, however, allegedly ignored officers’ commands and was taken to the ground. Officers arrested David Ventura, 25, on suspicion of weapon charges, public intoxication and resisting arrest; and Elias Azevedo on suspicion of weapon charges.

The Stockton Fire Department responded to 147 calls for service in the 24 hours ending at 8 a.m. Monday, including six vehicle accidents, 106 medical calls and four grass fires.
