STOCKTON — A free health fair and educational event for underserved residents will be held from 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday at St. Luke’s Catholic Church, 3847 N. Sutter St., Stockton.

The 11th annual Pacific Family Health Fair conducted by pharmacy students from University of the Pacific, under the supervision of licensed pharmacists, will offer the following screenings and services: cholesterol; diabetes; blood pressure; body mass index; bone density; anemia; asthma/COPD; mental health; dental clinic; hearing clinic; plus activities for children, raffle prizes and free products from vendors.

The free health fair is being organized by student pharmacists and VN CARES — the Vietnamese Cancer Awareness Research Education Society — from the Thomas J. Long School of Pharmacy and Health Sciences at Pacific to promote health issue awareness, knowledge and preventative care to the community, in addition to creating opportunities for student pharmacists to gain experience working in the community.
