STOCKTON — An alert resident in the Colonial Heights neighborhood in north Stockton helped prevent a potential burglary in the 1200 block of W. Rivara Road about 11:00 a.m. Monday, the San Joaquin County Sheriff's Office announced.

According to a report, the Sheriif's Office received a call about possible squatters at the home, which was vacant and for sale. A deputy apprehended 24-year-old Nichole Danielson in the backyard before she was able to enter the home. It was the second time Danielson has been caught trying to break into the home in the past month. She was arrested and booked Feb. 12 after a similar incident, the Sheriff's Office reported.

Danielson was found Monday to have a warrant for her arrest and was also in possession of stolen credit cards, according to the reprot. She was arrested and booked for trespassing, possession of stolen property, and a Lodi warrant for possession of a controlled substance.
