New Jerusalem birthday celebration planned

TRACY — Students, parents and the community of the New Jerusalem Elementary School District are invited to celebrate the district’s 140th birthday on Oct. 22, with a carnival and reunion.

From 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the district’s headquarters on 31400 S. Koster Road in Tracy, the event will feature games, food, and a silent auction. There is no cost to attend.

“This reunion will be a chance to get reacquainted with your long lost classmates,” said Superintendent David Thoming, who was a graduate of the district before becoming a teacher, coach, principal, and then superintendent. “The reunion is for all past and present New Jerusalem and Delta Charter Schools students and families.”
