SAT, ACT help available to students

STOCKTON — Students dreading the SAT or ACT tests can get help in preparing during a test study workshop at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Margaret Troke Branch Library, 502 W. Ben Holt Dr., Stockton.

The workshop will provide options for preparing for the tests, and a math “practice test” will be given and scored.

First responders try to stomp out cancer

LODI — The San Joaquin County Historical Museum at Micke Grove Park will honor and celebrate first responders with the second annual Stomp Out Childhood Cancer event, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday at the museum, 11793 N. Micke Grove Rd, Lodi.

First responders include fire, police, deputies, emergency medical personnel, highway patrol and communication support.

Activities to the event will include a grape stomp contest, a truck pull and more.
