Fresno arrest linked to Lode robbery

SAN ANDREAS — A man was arrested in Fresno on Wednesday in connection with a marijuana robbery that occurred last month in San Andreas, authorities said.

Detectives from the Calaveras County Sheriff’s Office identified Alexander Concepcion as the suspect in an Aug. 28 robbery in the 3000 block of Central Hill Road in San Andreas, Sgt. Anthony Eberhardt said. Investigators said marijuana plants were stolen during the robbery.

Detectives determined that Concepcion was a resident of Fresno and contacted the Fresno Police Department for assistance in locating him. On Wednesday, Fresno police conducted a traffic stop and arrested Concepcion on suspicion of possession of methamphetamine for sale and also for his role in the robbery in San Andreas, authorities said.

The Sheriff’s Office said Concepcion will be extradited to Calaveras County at a later date to face charges for the robbery in San Andreas.
